What's the difference between Institute OS and the CBT System?

Institute OS runs your institute: timetables, fees, admissions, payroll, attendance, syllabus and reports. The CBT System runs your exams: online tests with anti-cheating proctoring, question banks, the global PYQ library and practice mode. They work independently, and together they cover everything.

Can I buy just one product?

Yes. Plenty of institutes start with only the CBT System because they want a serious test platform, and others take only Institute OS because they already handle testing offline. Buy either on its own, and add the second whenever you want.

Why is CBT priced per student while Institute OS is nearly flat?

They cost us very differently. Institute OS is software — whether two admins use it or ten, the load is the same, so the price barely moves. CBT is capacity: when 400 students sit a mock test at once, that's 400 live connections, constant auto-saves and proctoring for every one of them. You're reserving an exam hall, so the price scales with its size.

What do I save by taking both?

You get 5% off the combined price, and paying annually takes another 20% off on top. The two discounts stack, so an institute taking both products and paying annually pays significantly less than buying them separately month to month.

How do AI credits work?

Every plan includes a monthly pool of AI credits that refills on your billing date. Extracting a question from a PDF page costs 1 credit, generating a timetable costs 5, finding a substitute costs 4. Most institutes never come close to their limit. If you do run out, you can top up at ₹500 per 1,000 credits — you're never charged automatically.

Is the price locked in?

If you pay annually, your price is locked for the full 12 months. Monthly billing is charged at the current rate and can change with notice, so annual is the safer choice if you want certainty — especially during launch pricing.

What happens if I grow past my student count?

Move up to the next student tier whenever you need to. Institute OS barely changes in price as you grow, and the CBT per-student rate actually drops at larger sizes. Above 500 students, get in touch and we'll build a plan around your network.

Do you take a cut of my fee collection?

No. You pay for the software and nothing else. We never take a percentage of your fees or a commission on your transactions — what you collect from parents is entirely yours.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use PostgreSQL with Row Level Security so each institute's data is completely isolated from every other, and encryption protects it both at rest and in transit. You also get your own subdomain.

Can I import my existing data?

Yes. CSV import covers centers, subjects, classrooms, batches, students, time slots, teachers, teaching assignments, syllabus, expenses, timetable entries, exam marks and fee assignments.
